Tribes Vengeance - 28th of October, 2004

I finally got around to buying Tribes Vengenace yesterday. My question is, where are all the players? I checked GameSpy's stats last night and got a rather large shock seeing as there were only 200 people playing, 10 of which were in Australia. What the hell's up with that? There's probably more people still playing Duke3D via Modem play!

HalfLife2? - 18th of October, 2004

So like, when's HalfLife2 going to go gold? Who knows, but I for one am starting to get a little tired of waiting for that all important press release. I've got the full thing pre-loaded on my system, and in some ways I wish I didn't as it's just sitting there teasing. In other news I'm starting to get into Counter-Strike Source, it's got some extremely strong points going for it. But, I can't seem to get my head around how laggy it feels, my mouse reacts like the huge Crown Jacks we use at work. Slow and painful. Hopefully a patch brings that up to speed.

I'm also extremely pissed off at the fact that it's pretty much still in beta form with a few new maps thrown in to stop the fans from storming Valve HQ. Come on, people have paid for HL2 and expected the "full version" of CS:S to complete the package. Sigh... it's like giving a baby a lollipop stick and expecting them to enjoy it. Taste good? Didn't think so.
